Code of Conduct
Oy Bay is a curated social club bringing together young Jews in San Francisco to build community through shared experiences. Our gatherings are designed to foster connection in a welcoming and respectful environment.
By attending an Oy Bay event or participating in the community, you agree to uphold the following principles:
Respect the Community
Oy Bay is built around Jewish community and shared cultural connection. Members and guests should treat everyone with kindness, respect, and consideration. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Be a Mensch
We expect members and guests to behave thoughtfully and respectfully toward fellow attendees, hosts, and venue staff. Oy Bay events are social spaces meant to bring people together in a positive way.
Responsible Drinking
Alcohol may be served at events. Guests who choose to drink are expected to do so responsibly and respectfully.
No Harassment or Inappropriate Conduct
Unwelcome sexual advances, aggressive behavior, threatening language, or demeaning conduct toward others is strictly prohibited.
Respect Privacy
Oy Bay events are designed to feel comfortable and social. Please be mindful when taking photos or videos and respect the privacy of other attendees.
Photography & Media
By attending an Oy Bay event, you grant us permission to capture photographs or video that may be used for promotional purposes including social media, websites, and future event promotion.
Membership & Guests
Attendance at Oy Bay events is curated. If guests are permitted, members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow the same standards of conduct.
Protect the Community
Oy Bay exists to strengthen Jewish community. The community should not be used for aggressive promotion, solicitation, or behavior that makes others uncomfortable.
Enforcement
Oy Bay reserves the right to deny entry, remove attendees from events, or revoke membership if behavior does not align with the values of the community.
